Desert Hawk Golf Course

Originally designed in 1972 by Johnny Bulla, Desert Hawk @ Pueblo West Golf Course has stood the test of time and is now reaping its rewards. After many years of up and down times with numerous owners, Desert Hawk was purchased in 1999 by The County of Pueblo. That summer, under the guidance of Director of Golf Mike Zaremba and architect Art Shaupeter, a $1.2 million renovation commenced. A much needed irrigation system was installed as well as two new greens. All bunkers were redesigned with the elimination of 36 and the installation of 29 new ones. The end product, according to recent players opinions, is an enjoyable golf experience at a fair price.
